Our client, Duracell, a leading company in the Consumer Goods industry, is launching the operations of its Global Business Services in Costa Rica and is hiring for the following position:

F&A Senior Accountant-Treasury

Main functions:

Perform monthly and quarterly financial close activities (preparation of month-end journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations).
Examine trial balances and transactional level detail to identify, resolve issues and develop an in depth understanding of the business.
Analyze balance sheet and income statement account fluctuations.
Perform and support accounting activities including tax entries, cash clearing, accruals, intercompany, dividends as well as reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with the company’s Standard Practice Instructions, SOX internal controls, and FCPA.
Treasury Support
Daily US cash estimate process and weekly reporting.
Daily/monthly FX rate upload.
Support e-banking administration enter/approve payments/ approve/amend users.
Support FX trade execution, confirmation and communication.
Support on time sensitive US based payments (payroll/taxes).

Profile required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
At least 7 years of prior relevant experience in accounting role, including month and quarter close activities, journal entries and reconciliations.
Working knowledge of SAP and Blackline
Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. (US GAAP)
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems and experience streamlining reporting for more efficient and effective results.
Work requires strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
Requires willingness to work extended hours during times of heavy workload (e.g., month and quarter close and budget).
Advanced english proficiency.
